How do we sew photographic straps? – Szelma

Who sews our straps?

The whole production is handled by Mr. Antoni, a leatherworker with over twenty years of experience running a family business. Of course, Mr. Antoni sews in leather every day – straps to trousers, bags, but I convinced him to cork fabric – a material a little closer to my heart. The times of the pandemic have left their mark on all of us so I am glad that I could help him, and he supports with advice and excellent solutions. Mr. Antoni and his daughter Weronika put a lot of heart into the production.

Where does the price of straps come from?

Cork material costs money and its price is comparable to leather. It is produced in Portugal, Spain and the Mediterranean. More importantly, artisans work by hand and it takes time and patience to create our products. However, we want to pay people with dignity, because they simply deserve it.

However, I think that this is not a high price for a photo strap that you will simply like from the first touch. One that will stay with you for many, many years.

However, if you decide that it is not what you are looking for - you have 14 days to return it.

What were the beginnings?

Of course, at the beginning there was an idea to create straps that would be beautiful and comfortable. It took a long time before it was realized. The first prototype was made of leather, but I quickly began to look for more interesting materials. I imported materials from different corners of the world until I came across a traffic jam.

About six editions of prototypes later were created straps that you can find in our store.

We keep fighting:)
