When creating Szelma, we wanted to find the right suppliers, as well as support local craftsmen. We knew that by putting production in experienced hands, we would be sure that they would be of high quality, but above all that they would be created with heart and passion. Our straps and bags are sewn by hand by Małopolska leatherworkers, and embroidery is made by embroiderers who create with love. Thanks to the fact that we have established this type of cooperation, we are sure that we will provide you with a product that will be extremely unique and one of a kind. We want you to know when you buy our product that you are supporting local craftsmen.
The entire production is handled by Mr. Antoni, a purse maker with over twenty years of experience running a family business. The times of the pandemic have left their mark on all of us, so I am glad that I was able to help him by giving him a job.
Mr. Antoni and his daughter Weronika put a lot of heart into the production. Without their vast experience, well ...
Of course, in the beginning there was the idea of creating straps that would be beautiful and comfortable. It took a long time for it to come true. The first prototype was made of leather, but I quickly started looking for more interesting and green materials. I was importing materials from all over the world until I hit the cork.
About six editions of prototypes later were created straps that you can find in our store.
Cork material costs money and its price is comparable to leather. It is produced in Portugal, Spain and the Mediterranean. More importantly, artisans work by hand and it takes time and patience to create our products. However, we want to pay people with dignity, because they simply deserve it.
However, I think that this is not a high price for a photo strap that you will simply like from the first touch. One that will stay with you for many, many years.
However, if you decide that it is not what you are looking for - you have 14 days to return it.
